Emergencies happen without warning. When they happen to you, the role of our Emergency Department is to provide superior care to you and your family.

The department is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by board-certified physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and registered nurses.

Located in close proximity to state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging, laboratory and surgery services, we have access to all that we need for efficient medical care.

COT Verified LogoSince 2007, the Portage Health Trauma Center has been verified as a Level 3 Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons. Portage Health was the first in the state to earn this designation. As of 2012, Portage Health was one of just two verified Level 3 Trauma Centers in the state.
