Jonathan is an occupational therapist at Portage Health Rehabilitation in Hancock, providing pediatric outpatient services. He also works with the Copper Country Intermediate School District, providing school-based services to students throughout the Copper Country.

Jonathan completed his Bachelor’s Degree in occupational therapy from Eastern Kentucky University and a Master’s of Health Services Management degree from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, Texas. He obtained a Certificate of Mastery in the Infancy and Early Childhood Development DIR/Floor-Time Model for treatment of children with autism spectrum disorders in 2008. Jonathan has been involved in occupational therapy since 1995, and started the pediatric occupational therapy program at Portage Health with physical therapy and speech therapy in 2005.

Jonathan has additional training in sensory processing disorder, autism spectrum disorder, retained primitive reflexes, fine motor/handwriting deficits and special training in therapeutic listening. He also has a keen interest in attention deficit disorder/attention deficit hyperactive disorder, developmental delays, pervasive developmental disorder, motor coordination deficits/dyspraxia, autism spectrum disorder, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital anomalies, genetic disorders, neurological disorders, retained primitive reflexes, sensory integration, dysfunction/sensory processing disorder and handwriting/fine motor/visual motor deficits.
