Portage Adds a Pair of Physical Therapists to Rehab Team

HANCOCK, Mich. – UP Health System – Portage welcomes physical therapists Josh Hill and Alysse Hill to the rehab team. The husband and wife duo both graduated with a doctor of physical therapy from Central Michigan University in 2015 and began seeing patients at Portage in April.
Josh, a native of Lake Linden, Mich., completed his undergraduate studies at Michigan Technological University before attending Central Michigan. He is an LSVT BIG certified clinician, a treatment technique for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, and has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 2012. He enjoys spending time with his family and staying active by hiking and running.
Alysse, originally from Farmington Hills, Mich., completed her undergraduate studies at Central Michigan with a major in Health Fitness and minor in Psychology before starting her doctorate. Alysse enjoys working with diverse populations including those who have recently had surgery, working on balance, or recovering from sports injuries. Alysse was a competitive Highland Dancer for 12 years, and has brought her love for dance up to the UP working with Superior Pipes & Drums and the local dancers. Alysse is looking forward to helping in the community, and enjoying the beautiful scenery the Copper Country has to offer.
