Nate Larson has served as a Certified Athletic Trainer at Portage Health since 2002. He has worked in many aspects of athletic training while at Portage Health, including in the rehab clinic, high school athletics, and at Michigan Tech. He now works with Finlandia University’s volleyball, cross country, basketball and softball programs.
The Minnesota native earned his bachelor’s degree in athletic training from the University of North Dakota in 1999. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in exercise science at Northern Michigan University while serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer from 2000-02. Larson also served as a teaching assistant and approved clinical instructor at NMU.
A member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Michigan Athletic Trainers’ Society and the College Athletic Trainers’ Society, Larson is also an instructor for the American Heart Association and ESPHE department at Michigan Tech.
Nate Larson, an avid all-season fisherman. He and his wife, LeAnn, reside in Chassell, Mi with their daughter Madalyn.
