About Portage Health

Portage Health is the second-largest employer in our home of Houghton County, with a staff of about 700 employees.

Our healthcare facilities include 28 physicians in three medical practice offices, a 36-bed inpatient hospital, and a full array of outpatient services.

We offer state-of-the-art technology, including a new 64-slice CT scanner and the only open-bore MRI scanner in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
