    Expressing Your Concerns

You and your family have the opportunity to offer suggestions or comments in writing or verbally to any member of your healthcare team. Since one of our ongoing goals is to listen and address all patient and family comments, a timely response with appropriate action will occur upon receipt of your question or grievance.

If you do not want to speak with an employee of Portage regarding your concern, you may call The Joint Commission at (800) 994-6610.

    Smoking Policy

For your health and the health of others, the use of tobacco products will not be permitted on any Portage Health property. By providing a tobacco-free environment for our patients, visitors, physicians and employees, we’re doing our part to promote health in the Keweenaw.

    Parking

As a benefit to our patients and visitors, all parking at Portage Health is free. It may be helpful to make a note of exactly where you are parked so you can quickly find your car as you leave.

    2. Using your WIFI connection software, select the wireless network called PHPUBLIC. This is Portage Health’s guest wireless connection.
    3. In order to use the Portage public connection, you will have to click “Connect anyway”.
    4. After you have connected to the wireless network, you need to read and agree to the Portage Health guest internet policy. To do this, open up any web browser and go to any page. Your browser will be automatically redirected to the agreement page.
    5. To continue to the guest internet policy page, click on “Continue to the web site.”
    6. Your web browser should then load the guest internet policy page. After you click on the “Accept” button, you will be able to use the Portage Health guest internet connection for web browsing and most other types of internet software as long as that use meets the terms of the usage policy.
