37th annual Portage Health Canal Run in Hancock, Mich. The run is set for July 21 with a start at
McLain’s State Park and finish in

“This race has a long reputation of being an excellent experience for runners and walkers of all levels,” said Angela Luskin, race director. “Already we have people registered from Germany, Kentucky, Minnesota and Illinois.”
The race has grown to more than 500 participants between four different races: a 5-mile run, 5-mile walk, 10-mile run and 10-mile walk.
“We get everyone from veteran Boston Marathon runners to first-time walkers,” said Luskin. “Our
USATF-certified race course is picturesque, uniquely challenging and a lot of fun.”
