HANCOCK —Portage Health would like to thank everyone who participated in the Michigan Harvest Gathering food drive. During the month of October, Portage Health’s donation sites garnered 1,159 pounds of food and personal care items for the needy in our community.
All of the donated items will be distributed to people in our local area by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army.
The Michigan Harvest Gathering is held each autumn to help Michigan families who need emergency food.
