Sandy is a physical therapist and a board-certified wound specialist and is a certified lymphedema therapist.
Sandy has been interested in and involved with caring for patients with wounds since 1992. She has regularly attended advanced education courses in wound care since 1998 and earned the title of Certified Wound Specialist from the American Board of Wound Management in 2008.
Through the Advanced Wound Care Center, Sandy assists patients with wound healing in the clinic, in the hospital, and in local nursing homes. She enjoys providing the best care possible, and strives to reduce pain during procedures and to teach patients and family members everything they need to know to heal.
Aside from being a board-certified wound specialist, Sandy is a member of the American Physical Therapist Association and a Fellow of the American College of Certified Wound Specialists.
Sandy also loves to cross country ski on the Copper Country's beautiful snowy trails and mountain bike and hike on the many keweenaw paths.
