Senior Meals
Our goal is to provide you with nutritious, comforting, carefully-prepared meals in your home, while you heal. Our meals are researched and prepared specifically tailored to the diet of older individuals. We do all the work so you don’t have to.
We have two programs:
- Senior Meals Congregate Meals: This is designed for the 60-and-older population. People come together to eat lunch and socialize in a group setting.
- Senior Meals Home-Delivered Meals: As the name suggests, these meals with be delivered to homebound seniors with special dietary needs.
Which meals are available?
Our most popular meal is the mid-day meal.
We also offer a second meal. A second meal can be delivered with your mid-day hot meal or is available for pickup at a congregate site. A second meal consists of a cold sandwich, milk and fruit salad.
What are the options for those on special diets?
All meals meet or exceed one-third of the USDA-recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals needed in the older individual’s diet. A nutrition specialist monitors the sodium, vitamin and cholesterol content of the meals. Meals are easily adjusted to the requirements of diabetic diets.
What does it cost?
Donations help us keep the Senior Meals program running. Meals are never based on an individual’s ability to pay. Suggested donations are as follows:
| Mid-day meal |
$3.00 |
| Second meal |
$2.50 |
