The Echo Stress Test is performed while you are laying down. During the test, adhesive electrodes will be placed on your chest to look at electrical activity of the heart while you pedal on a specially designed exercise bike attached to the patient table. Ultrasound images will be taken of your heart at rest, during exercise and after exercise, and blood pressure will be monitored.

This test takes approximately two hours to complete. Exercise time is approximately three to 10 minutes.
