Flu Shots
2 Easy Ways to Get a Flu Shot
- Make an appointment with your primary care provider. Often, this can be a visit with your provider's nurse, unless you have questions for your provider.
- Walk into our Express Care clinic on Sharon Avenue. The flu vaccine is offered on a first come, first served basis. Hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. daily.
Cost, Payment and Insurance
Flu shots cost $25 at our Express Care clinic.
A visit to your physician's office will often be billed as a nurse visit if it is solely to receive a flu shot.
Please check with your insurance provider to see if the cost of a flu shot is covered. Most do cover preventative immunizations.
Who should get a flu shot?
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that everyone older than 6 months be vaccinated for the flu. CDC is encouraging people to be vaccinated as soon as the vaccine is available, as this is the first and most important step in protecting against this serious disease.
Children under the age of 3 should see their primary care provider.
